2011 Teacher Appreciation Details

Staff  Appreciation   Week 5/2 – 5/6/2011
Each day there will be a theme that students are invited to participate in – get creative! They may wear something that goes with the theme (must abide by regular dress code), make a handmade card or craft to give to teachers and/or staff, or they will have opportunities to participate during school hours in different ways as well. Let’s show our amazing teachers and staff how much we appreciate them!	Monday, 5/2: Theme – Stars -Room Parents will have the Teachers Doors Decorated -Remind students to treat Teachers and Staff like “stars” and to thank them!
	Tuesday, 5/3: Theme – Treats -Treat your teacher to a small gift or goodie, whether it be a classroom donation or something fun for your teacher to enjoy. -If you would like to appreciate any of our specialty Staff send them a treat as well
	Wednesday, 5/4: Theme – Power of Words -Students send in a handmade book (on 8  1/2 x 11” paper) for their teacher – they will be compiled and presented in class.
	Thursday, 5/5: Theme – Bouquet of Colors -Students bring in one handmade, store bought, or home grown flower to makeup a colorful bouquet for their teacher. -And/or wear teacher’s favorite color to school
	Friday, 5/6: Many Thanks -Students bring in notes, pictures, poems, etc. to show appreciation for teachers (please remember to include specialty teachers if applicable, i.e. art, computers, speech, media, resources, etc.) -Parents also send in notes or emails of gratitude!
