Dear Sage Hills Parents,
Thank you for attending our incredible Hogwarts event! We had a blast! We have been planning this for one year. We feel that it went fabulous for our trial run! There were over 700 children and parents in attendance! We have great ideas for next year, which will be great for the whole community. The work, major planning and execution have blazed a path for success in the years to come. We feel that with more volunteers next year things will continue to grow and take on new heights.
As Mrs. Holbrook pointed out, our volunteer ratio is under 2%. There were 2 teachers or staff members to everyone 1 parent this year; I would love to have 3 or 4 parents to one teacher. This way the volunteers would be able to rotate and also spend quality time with their families. Putting forth a small amount of time to make wonderful things happen in our school community, synergizes with others time and efforts and soon the rewards are innumerable. If you are reading this and thinking, someone else will see this and step up, we need you, this is your invitation to come forward and share your talents.
Our next PTA meeting is November 21, 2011 @ 10:00am. Please bring quiet activities for your children. Come find out all of the fun events you can be a part of! Polar express is coming right up! It is on December 5, 2011. The event committees are forming, please come and sign up to be on one. Other wonderful activities this year are Sock Hop in February and Dr. Seuss in March. We also have our annual fund raiser “Spell Check” in March. We are putting on an assembly for the students and would love some people who would like to participate in a fun playful skit.
