WE LOVE SAGE HILLS

We moved here a year ago and I have been so impressed with the staff and faculty at Sage Hills & just wanted to say that they are all very professional & wonderful people.  I have seen them all work very hard to ensure student safety and that the students are learning what they need to learn.
One of their top priorities is student safety, and I have seen it time after time as I've been late at school for events and while planning activities for the students.
We hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas holiday, knowing that they are apart of a great, safe school!!  Merry Christmas!!!

Sam I am Choir

Here is the list of students who will be in the Sam I am Choir!!  Jamie Child is the person in charge of this marvelous choir of students who will all be costumed as "whos".  If you have any questions, or want to help with this marvelous group of youngsters, you can email her at jamiechild@ymail.com.

Please come after school Tuesday to get a copy of the practice CD (and fill out the parent form if you haven't) so that your child can learn the songs over Christmas break.  There will also be an information sheet with more details as well as rehearsals.   Those who are starred will also be in the mail production so please see the other list to find out your cast and part.  
We will also be accepting the $10 fee when you pick up your CDs.  Thanks!!

We REALLY need a PTA President for next year

Dear friends,
It's that time of year again when we need to find someone willing to take over as President for 2013-2014.  That seems very far away; however, our bi-laws state that we need to have someone in place by January.
So to make it seem a little less scary, I'll let you in on a few secrets.  First, all of the hard stuff is over for the year!  (Other than the play, which we won't be doing next year).  Second, being President hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be. Honestly. We have a great group of people working together to do everything and being the President has mostly been encouraging & helping them get the things done they need to do. There have been long hours when big events have happened, but there have also been weeks when I haven't done much PTA stuff at all!  Third, it is SO FUN!! I have met some amazing people, and working with the kids has been delightful.
Everyone is in different places in their life, and I know there is someone out there who is at the time of life when they can give more time and energy to the kids of Sage Hills.  If you're thinking that might be you, please email me & we'll chat.  I was scared at first to sign up for this job, but I'm so glad I did because it has helped me grow and become a better person.

 for Seussical Jr are

 Dec. 11^th and 12^th

2:30-4:30pm 

Call backs will be Friday the 14th, times TBA

 SIGN UPS are on the blog!!  

(You may still try out if not signed up but be prepared to wait your turn)

 Students need to be prepared to sing 16 measures of a song.  We will have a pianist if they want to bring sheet music, as well as CD and iPod players.  No student will be turned away and they may audition in a group, but if they do a group audition, they will not be considered for a lead role. Parents are invited to wait outside the audition room and may watch from the windows. 

Rehearsals will run Jan.-March 2 days a week from 3:30-5pm At Sage Hills Elementary

Performance Dates as of now are

 March 21, 22 and 25^th

 K-2 are auditioning for Show opener

3-6 are auditioning for Main Musical production of Seussical Jr

Cost of participation is $10 per student* and will include a T-shirt
