The Facts about Fundraising

There has been some confusion out there and so I just want to clarify a few things:

Yes while the School and the PTA work closely together and assist each other as much as we can our finances are very separate.

The School Fundraisers are: Entertainment Books (District), Sally Foster/Wrapping Paper, Lehi Roller Mills & Cookie Dough. These funds have been used to buy books for the take home reading library, other needed supplies at the school & to purchase a Marquee for the front of the school.

The PTA did a Festival the first year the school opened, and less successfully again this fall, as this years festival didn't make enough to run the PTA next year we did spellcheck and that was great and so we are planning for that to be our only fundraiser next year.

What happens to the PTA's fundraiser funds? They are used to put on Activities such as Polar Express, Red & Purple Ribbon Week, Staff Appreciation Week, etc. But our main purpose in the school is not to raise funds but to help find and coordinate volunteers to help in the classroom, exchange Take Home Reading Books, help at the Book Fair, make copies, etc.
